Baby Products

What products are a must have for a new mom?

  1. I will add mine first.

A Bumbo chair! It was probably the best $40 we spent. Babies can use it as soon as they can hold their head up until their feet touch the ground when they are sitting in it. (Even after that I still use it- I just put it on the floor so IF Hallie kicks herself over it won't hurt.)

It saved us from buying a high chair to feed her in and I was able to get things done while she was just chillin' in it.

The Bumbo chair is my top item!!

  2. The bumbo is also the first thing that came to my mind, it is fantastic. Though we did eventually have to borrow a high chair, though both kids were old enough they could have gone straight to a booster seat.

Tide with bleach is my best friend. It gets out ALL of the bodily fluids and food stains, though I don't take risks and wash things right away. The cheap stuff doesn't work as well. It is worth the extra money.

  3. I just happened on your blog and hope you don't mind me adding my two cents here and there. I am also 24 and have an 11 month old little boy. Some of the baby products (or regular products that I use for baby) that I love are, the spray and wash stain stick, (I use it as soon as stuff gets on my sons clothes, but can wait up to a week to wash the clothes, so far it has removed EVERY stain), lansinoh lanolin (a must for beginning stages of nursing), and the bumbo like mentioned above, totally worth the money, especially if you invest in one with your first child. I also love Eucerin Aquaphor Healing Ointment Baby when my sons gets extra dry spots, it works like a charm.

  4. I haven't tried teh bumbo yet, but it sounds like a great product! My daughters have both LOVED their bouncer seat, it sets on the ground or on top of anything sturdy and they can bounce themselves and see what is going on. It has allowed me to get things done too and the babies love to bounce in it and play with toys. Also, Butt Paste has saved their bums with the bad rashes. So my two favs are Butt Paste and bouncer seats.

  5. I don't know if any of the mothers have toddlers, but I would love to get advice on tantrums and potty training. Could you post that Brittany?

  7. I too Loved the Bumbo:) I also had the bebe pod, similar to the bumbo but different brand and although I think the bebe pod looked better my little man was able to sit in the bumbo much earlier and got way more use out of it. He wasn't even able to sit up in the bebe pod untill he was sitting up on his own!
#2 the the food rings. I used these a ton when I started my baby on solids. I loved that I did have to freak out about him choking while he got to try out new foods:)
#3 the snack trap cups(I found mine at Babies R Us). They are Awesome! I never leave home with out theses. It lets your little one get his snacks all on their own but won't spill all over the place.
#4 SWEET HOODS and SWEET RIDES! I Seriously love these(and not just because I sell them:) Sweet Hoods are a cover to attach to you carrier. They come in cute modern prints and keep you r little one safe from germs, the sun, and rain/snow. The Sweet Rides are chic shopping cart/ resturant high chair covers. If you want to find out more you can go to babyhooddesign.blogspot.com
    Hope you enjoyed my list:)

  10. I forgot to mention a nursing cover.

I could NOT live with out mine!

I am able to nurse anywhere and everywhere and not lose any of my privacy. Church, movies, restaurants, when we have guests over, airplane, etc. etc. etc.

  11. Definately have good lotion on hand for you and baby and a swing. I washed my hands a bazillion times a day, and my boy loved having lotion after his nightly bath.
