  1. My mother in law suggested Olive Oil and it works like a charm. We just put it in a spray bottle and then spray Hallie's little bum.

Also, you know that nipple cream that you use when you are are first nursing? It comes in the big tube that you could never use all of. USE THAT! It is extremely thick and it works.

  2. I love the Butt Paste brand diaper cream and Vaseline on top of that. Works great for my girls! I will have to try the olive oil, hmmmmm.

  3. I like neosporin because it heals everything else so why not! My boy hasn't had that many rashes, so usually I can trace it to food he's eaten recently - like Mexican food- he loves it.

  4. i love butt paste brand too. Poor new baby already has bad stuff cause mom had to go on antibiotics and it works great. Its also what 10 of 16 moms would bring to daycare for us to use. There is other great stuff i will have to call my boss and ask her what its called again.....it works better than butt paste. iwill post it when i hear back from her.

  5. Butt Paste really is great, and so is Desitin. But don't underestimate the magic of some fresh air on that little red butt.

  6. I really like the aveeno brand of diaper rash cream. It has worked really well for my daughter. When she does get a rash i lightly blow on it when i change her diaper, she likes that too.

  7. I agree with the fresh air. I let my boys play in the kitchen or in the back yard naked for awhile. I can tell they're boys because they want to live like that all the time. It's always hard to get clothes back on them.

  8. My poor little guy has been having diaper rash problems on and off ever since he had an ear infection back in October or November. One of the side effects of the antibiotic was a diaper rash, and it seems like ever since then it just keeps coming back. A big thing that helps is bathing him everyday (I was doing everyother day, but the rash would come back on the days off) and then letting him crawl around bare bum for a while. I need to try the other suggestions, but I use desitin and baby powder.

  9. My little girl has the most sensitive bum, so switching diaper brands worked along with Aquaphor Baby. It is awesome. Also, those mylicon gas drops? Put a few on their bum if you need it numbed, it works really well!
