Morning Sickness Help!

Those of you who don't read my personal family blog might not know that I'm PREGNANT! Baby number #2 is coming in the beginning of July.

My question is thus...
What did you use to help with morning sickness-or should I say ALL DAY sickness?

I'm already taking half of a unison pill and half of a B6 pill. The two together have helped but I'm still so so sick.

HELP!! I'm desperate.

  1. I'm sorry you're so sick; it's no fun. The only thing that helped me this time around was Phenergen (prescription med). But it also made me way too tired and I think it even started making me a little depressed, so I couldn't take it for very long. The nice thing is with this second pregnancy the sickness is going away a lot sooner than it did the first time. Hopefully you'll be the same way. :)

  2. I'm so sorry Brittany! I was like you, sick ALL day long for 5-6 months with both my girls, so maybe you're having a girl :) hehe. Anyway, the only thing that helps me is to drink a ton of water and to lay down when I felt sick, which is hard to do when you already have one, but turn on a show for Hallie. Also, it helped to eat mild things to keep my stomach settled, like crackers, etc. Good luck with the pregnancy, and I feel for you, I hate the sickness part!

  3. If it gets really bad, (losing weight, bedridden, etc) meds are the ONLY thing that will help. And a lot of prayers.

  4. Britty! SOOO sad to hear you're feeling like CRAP!!! It's really NO fun!! I definitely wasn't as sick the second time, but was still pretty sick and I tried a couple new things but still ended up on medication...I tried Preggy Pops and surprisingly they helped. So did Jolly Ranchers. For some reason having something to suck on helped my nausea (most of the time...but not ALL). My sis-in-law also keeps a bag handy when she's preggy-sick. I also tried the motion sickness wrist bands. They kindof worked a little bit...but I was still sick. If you're really not keeping anything down and losing lots of weight I'd talk to your doc about getting Phenegren (or some other anti-nausea med). Good luck and keep me posted. Love you TONS!!!!!!!!!

  5. I totally feel your pain, seeing how I'm 26 weeks along and still wake up with nausea. I was desperate like you to live somewhere else besides next to the toilet. Anyways...I tried the crackers, the lemon candies, the ginger tea, sipping small amounts of liquid, the wrist band and many other things and nothing worked for me. I tried phenergan which helped with the puking but I didn't like the sleepiness and plus phenergan isn't tested enough in pregnant women so I got my doctor to switch me to zofran and that saved me! I will never live without it again. Its expensive but much cheaper at costco. It prevented most of the puking, but the nausea was still there, which was totally worth it I thought to at least not have to puke. I lost 12 lbs in the beginning and I am just barely at my prepregnancy weight. Good luck Britt!

  6. Zofran, Zofran, Zofran.

Completely got rid of my nausea and doesn't make you tired like Phenergen.

My doctor also said string cheese helps curb the nausea.
