Double Stroller Recommendation

With baby #2 on the way I'm in the market for a double stroller.

Any recommendations? Any that I should stay away from?

  1. My girlfriend has this one:

And I am completely envious of it. I just have a jeep side by side double umbrella stroller. It works fine. It's tight going through doorways sometimes. But it was cheap and has worked for us!

  2. We got a side by side one, I don't like it so much when we are shopping because it is VERY wide, but the girls LOVE to sit by each other, so it is fun in one way, but not in another.

  3. I have the baby jogger city mini double. It folds up so small and easy and has a car seat attachment for the newborn stage that works with most seats. It also fits through a standard doorway and the shades are legit and actually cover the kids! I can't say enough good things about it, I would order it from albeebaby.com and use one of their 15% off codes (it is price locked) and that gets it for $339. They also have the city micro that starts at $299 if that is closer to your budget. Congrats on the baby!

  4. I actually have the Phil & Ted's double stroller that Amy Nelson was talking about, and I have to tell you that I would be lost with out it! My kids are 19 months apart, and we originally got the stroller for my daughter (our first). When our son came along we bought the doubles kit for it and I have been in love with it ever since. While you have a newborn, it is especially handy because it converts to spot where they can lay down completely and just sleep. Once they are old enough, it then converts to two sitting spots. AND, my most favorite feature of all: You can turn it SINGLE HANDED, and can make a U-turn in a grocery store isle. (All of which is not possible with most double strollers). The only draw back is the price tag. But, I will say that it is worth it. My youngest is almost 11 months old, and I still use it every day! If you are interested in seeing pictures of the stroller in the two phases (incase you can't find them online) just let me know. Good Luck!

  5. We got a Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem. We love it and it wasn't that expensive either. You should check it out..

  6. I looked everywhere for good deals on dbl strollers, it was a long process, but I finally found a great deal. I got my double off of Albeebaby.com. I got it for only $89.99 and only $4.95 shipping! I had been looking everywhere. It's a graco and works great, it's also very cute. I would not recommend the side by side, they are very wide and hard to navigate while shopping. Hallie is probably old enough where you could get a sit and stand dbl stroller, that's what I would have liked to get I think, but Cade would have been way to young to deal w/ that. Good luck!

  7. Hey Brittany. We've got the Baby Trend Sit-n-Stand. It's not perfect but I would give it a good recommendation. It is inexpensive (we paid $60 for a gently used one from Craigslist). I like that you can use it for newborns by just snapping the carseat into the stroller. The back seat is good for my big boy because when he gets a little antsy he can stand up and get a good view while we drive. Navigation gets a little tricky sometimes (it isn't wide, but it is a little on the long side), so I wouldn't recommend it for jogging. We take it out on walks though and to the mall, zoos, or amusement parks, and it is great for that kind of thing. Overall it's a good stroller, and I'd buy it again. I've had a few friends borrow it and they said they wanted to get one like it. Good luck finding the right one for you! :)
