Nightmares

Kari writes... "My 2 1/2 year old girl had her first nightmare last night! Are there things I can do to minimize the scaryness of the situation for her? Can I help prevent them? Help! It's so HEARTBREAKING seeing her so scared."

  1. I wish I knew something that could help but we haven't experienced nightmares yet. Maybe more happy songs etc a couple hours before bed?

  2. I KNOW THE FEELING' BROOKE HAS NIGHTMARES EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, ITS SO SAD! WISH SHE COULD TELL ME WHAT THEY WERE ABOUT SO I COULD TALK WITH HER ABOUT THEM!

  3. When my little ones wake up scared or sad, we always say a prayer and ask that they will feel happy and be able to go back to sleep. Sometimes we sing a peaceful or happy song, too. I can remember when I was little my mom used to urge me to think of a happy place or time. She always suggested thinking about DisneyLand!
